The room smelled very bad upon arrival. It was the next day I discovered why. The old air conditioning unit had lichen growing in it. Visible fungus growing all over. Lichen is the fungus looking stuff you see growing on rocks and trees near damp areas… supposed to be outside. We left the AC off the remainder of our stay and the smell improved dramatically. BUT it was a bit warm … so I don’t know if it was a win. Other than that and the loud train nearby honking at all hours of the night, it was a normal hotel stay.

Better then expected

Wall to ceiling windows with spectacular views! Love to keep the curtains open all night long to catch the city lights. Rooms are decorated with a little quirkiness, think wall of mirrors and interesting artwork. Have stayed here three times already when Teatro ZinZanni was there and for easy Ubering to Taste Washington.

Beds were decent. Kind of sketchy area and lots of parking spots took up by construction vehicles. Room needed some minor repairs, molding coming off, stains on walls. Room smelled funky, halls smelled like febreeze been sprayed. Doors to hallway were almost busted, had to really pull it to get it locked.

Quiet, clean, nicely laid out and appointed room. Roof top seating with great views. Bikes available to ride to the Space Needle and downtown wharf area. So fun! Starbucks next to hotel for easy breakfast sandwich. Very comfortable. Would stay again. It is liberal Seattle so a few wierdo druggies around now and then but overall we felt safe.
